Rabbit Health Monitoring Checklist

Weekly and monthly health check guide for rabbit owners

Regular health monitoring helps you catch problems early — rabbits are prey animals and naturally hide signs of illness. Use this checklist weekly to stay on top of your rabbit's health, and call your vet whenever something seems off.

⚖️ Weight Check

Target: Most adult rabbits weigh 4–12 lbs depending on breed. Sudden weight loss over 5% needs vet attention.

Tip: Rabbits' teeth grow 2–3mm per week. Hay wear is essential for dental health.

  • Blood anywhere on the body or in droppings/urine
  • Sudden paralysis or weakness
  • Drooling or wet chin
  • Any sudden behavioral change
